Banner Customization

LegalBanner provides a visual banner builder so you can create a consent banner that matches your brand perfectly.

Layout Types

Choose from four banner layouts:

  • Bar — A compact horizontal banner at the top or bottom of the page. Best for minimal visual impact.
  • Modal — A centered dialog with an overlay. Draws attention and works well for opt-in compliance.
  • Bottom Sheet — A drawer that slides up from the bottom. Mobile-friendly and modern.
  • Fullscreen — Covers the entire viewport. Maximum compliance visibility.

Theme Controls

Customize the look and feel:

  • Primary Color — The color of your CTA buttons (Accept, Reject)
  • Background Color — The banner's background
  • Text Color — All text within the banner
  • Border Radius — Rounded corners (0px for sharp, up to 32px for pill-shaped)
  • Font — Inherit your site's font or choose a custom one
  • Shadow — None, small, medium, or large for depth
  • Dark Mode — Off, on, or auto-detect based on visitor's system preference

Content

  • Banner Title — The heading shown to visitors (e.g. "We value your privacy")
  • Banner Description — The body text explaining why consent is needed
  • Button Labels — Customize the text for Accept All, Reject All, and Manage Preferences buttons
  • Logo — Upload your company logo to display in the banner (Starter+ plans)

Category Descriptions

Each consent category can have a custom label and description that visitors see in the preferences panel.

Custom CSS

On Starter and Pro plans, you can inject custom CSS to further refine the banner's appearance. The CSS is applied inside the Shadow DOM, so it won't leak to your main site.

Badge (Branding)

  • Free & Starter — The "Cookie consent by LegalBanner" badge is shown
  • Pro — You can remove the badge for a fully white-labeled experience

Preview

Use the device preview to see how your banner looks on desktop, tablet, and mobile before publishing.
