Governance Reports

The Governance Reports page provides a comprehensive overview of your tag governance activity. Available on the Pro plan.

Summary Statistics

The top of the reports page shows four key metrics:
  • Total tags tracked - Number of vendors in your Tag Registry
  • Pending approvals - Vendors waiting for review
  • Blocked tags - Vendors currently blocked from loading
  • Blocked attempts (30d) - How many times blocked scripts were intercepted in the last 30 days

Charts

New Tags Detected (7-Week Trend) A bar chart showing how many new vendors were detected per week over the last 7 weeks. Use this to spot sudden increases in third-party script usage - which could indicate:
  • A team member added a new marketing tool
  • A third-party script started loading additional sub-scripts
  • A supply chain issue where a trusted script loads unexpected resources
Blocked Attempts per Day (30-Day Trend) A line chart showing daily blocked attempt counts. Spikes may indicate:
  • A recently blocked vendor is still being loaded on some pages
  • Marketing scripts attempting to inject tracking without consent
  • Third-party widgets dynamically loading prohibited scripts

Per-Client Breakdown

For agency accounts, the reports include a table showing: | Column | Description | |---|---| | Client | Client name | | Sites | Number of sites | | New tags | Tags detected this period | | Pending | Tags awaiting approval | | Blocked | Currently blocked tags | Click any client to drill down into their specific governance data.

CSV Export

Click Export CSV to download the full Tag Registry as a spreadsheet. The export includes:
  • Vendor name and key
  • Consent category
  • Current status (approved, blocked, pending)
  • First and last detected dates
  • Sites where the vendor was found
  • Approval history (who approved/blocked and when)
This export is useful for compliance audits, client reporting, and management reviews.

Compliance Health Integration

Tag Governance data feeds into the Compliance Health scores shown on the client dashboard. Sites with:
  • Many pending tags = Warning status
  • Blocked attempt spikes = Warning or Alert status
  • All tags reviewed and enforcement enabled = Compliant status

Best Practices

  • Review pending tags weekly - Do not let the pending queue grow
  • Export reports monthly - Keep an offline record for compliance
  • Monitor blocked attempts - Investigate persistent spikes
  • Brief your team - Make sure marketing and development teams know they need approval before adding new scripts
